ANTIQUE PRINTS

Original blue prints help save America's once prosperous shoe industry for prosterity. Considered a state-of-the-art monument to American manufacturing, the L.H. Hamel Leather Company expanded several times over the decades. As a result, each of the four buildings reflects a different architectural aesthete, depending on when it was built.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Mix, mingle or just relax in the resident's lounge. Hamel Mill Lofts' resident lounge is our social center and gathering spot. A high-def TV catches you up on news and sports while you wait for friends and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi makes it easy to check your email or surf for some restaurant ideas.

RESPECT REDUX

The original stack, carefully restored, is now an architectural focal point. Haverhill's factory and mill owners weren't just constructing workplaces for making shoes. They were also building their own reputations as successful businessmen and civic leaders. We've carefully preserved many artful details as a lasting tribute to their pride and vision for Haverhill and its hard-working citizens.

STITCHING TIME

A sewing machine from the original mill once stitched a livelihood for local leather workers. During its heyday, the L. H. Hamel Leather Company employed hundreds of local workers. Today, residents from all walks of life now call Hamel Mill Lofts home. The Hamel Mill Lofts' fitness center rivals any area gym with over 1500 square feet of space including a stretching area.
